My name is Mehran and I'm the founder of Vanhess Jewellery, a jewellery boutique based in Vancouver, Canada. I'm a second generation jeweler, coming from a family that has more than 50 years of experience in the art and trade of jewellery. From my teenage years when I started an apprenticeship at my father's jewellery store to this day, I've dedicated my entire professional life to study and learn about all the aspects of this art. I've traveled to and lived in India and Thailand to get formal education on gemology, jewellery design and the craft of handmade jewellery.
To me, jewellery is an art and a way of expression and I believe it should be produced ethically and sustainably and be affordable for anyone who wishes to make a statement in how they dress everyday and for any occasion.
My work takes inspiration from my Persian roots as well as my deep admiration of the beauty and serenity of nature in Pacific Northwest. I am delighted to share my work with you in this store and am dedicated to helping you on your journey of self expression.
