No, the 14k solid gold charm is quite durable. We use a 14-karat alloy because it's much stronger than purer 24k gold, which is very soft. While it's not indestructible, it’s designed to withstand the bumps and knocks of daily wear without bending or losing its shape.

Can I wear my solid gold letter charm in the shower or while swimming?

Yes, you can wear your solid gold charm in the shower. Water won't harm 14k gold. However, we recommend taking it off before swimming in pools or hot tubs, as chlorine and other harsh chemicals can slowly dull the metal's finish and potentially damage its structure over time.

How will this letter charm sit on different types of chains?

The hinged clasp is designed to fit onto most standard chain links. On a finer chain, like a cable chain, it will hang and move freely. On a thicker link or curb chain, it will sit more snugly against the specific link you clip it to, giving you more control over its placement.
