Instead of a single stone, each heart is formed from a tight cluster of three round-cut rubies. It gives the colour a depth and texture you don't get from one gem, especially as it catches the light from different angles.

This is a matching pair of heart-shaped stud earrings. The base is solid 18K yellow gold, polished to a mirror finish. Inside each heart, three deep red, round-cut rubies are set closely together. They're held in place by the gold bezel, and a tiny gold bead sits right in the centre of the cluster. The back is a simple, straight post that fits a standard butterfly backing.

We make these from solid 18K gold, not plated. That's 75% pure gold, which gives it that rich, warm yellow colour you see. It’s a good choice for jewellery you wear often because it's strong and won't tarnish or discolour over time, and it's very kind to sensitive skin. The stones are natural rubies, which means each one has its own unique shade of deep red. We set them by hand into the bezel to make sure they're secure.
