It’s a single, long piece of polished gold wire. One end is bent into a simple hook that goes through your piercing and rests on your cartilage. The other end is a straight, solid bar that drops down. Just below the hook, a small five-pointed star is set with tiny, brilliant-cut Cubic Zirconia stones. The star is attached with a small ring, so it has a bit of movement as you turn your head.
We make this from 14 Karat solid gold, not plated or filled. It’s 58.3% pure gold mixed with alloys for strength, which means it’s tough enough to keep its shape and won't bend easily with daily wear. Solid gold also won't tarnish or discolour over time. Can I wear my 14k gold Stargaze Earring in the shower or while swimming?
Yes, you can wear your 14k gold earring in the shower. Solid gold doesn’t tarnish from water. We do suggest taking it off before swimming in pools or oceans, as chlorine and salt can be harsh on the metal and stones over long periods.
Does the Stargaze Earring work for any ear piercing location?
This earring is designed specifically for a standard lobe piercing. You thread the hook through the lobe, and the long bar hangs down while the top of the hook rests against the inside of your upper ear cartilage. It's not intended for helix or other cartilage piercings.
What happens if I receive my Stargaze Earring and I don't like how it fits?
If the earring isn't right for you, you can return it within 30 days of delivery. Just email us at returns@vanhess.ca, and we'll send you a prepaid shipping label. The piece must be in its original, unworn condition to qualify for a full refund.
