Most pearl drops hang from a simple wire. We gave these a solid, twisted gold hoop that sits right on the lobe, so the pearl moves a little without the whole earring swinging around.

This is a pair of stud earrings, each with two distinct parts. The top is a small, C-shaped hoop with a twisted rope texture. It's thick and polished, so light really plays across the ridges. Dangling directly underneath is a round, white freshwater pearl. The pearl is smooth and lustrous, contrasting the texture of the gold, and it's sized to be the main focus of the earring.

The base of the earring is solid 925 sterling silver, which means it's durable enough for regular wear and a good choice for sensitive skin. We then plate it with a thick layer of 14k gold for that rich, warm yellow colour. Because the gold is bonded over real silver, the colour is deep and won't just rub off. The drops are genuine freshwater pearls, so each one will have slight, unique variations in its shape and lustre. We sort and match them by hand for size and colour.
