Most pearl studs are just the pearl on a post. We designed these differently. Two curved, gold bands studded with tiny gems wrap around the top and bottom of the pearl, creating a little cradle that makes the setting part of the design itself.

A small, round freshwater pearl sits at the centre of each stud. It's held in place by two crescent-shaped arms of polished, gold-plated silver. Each arm is pavé-set with three tiny, brilliant-cut cubic zirconia stones that catch the light. The post is centred on the back, so they'll sit squarely on the lobe. The whole effect is a little off-centre, but balanced.

The core of these studs is solid 925 sterling silver. We plate that with 14k gold to get the rich, warm colour, and then everything gets a final e-coating. It’s a clear, protective layer that helps the gold plating resist tarnishing and wear from things like skin oils or makeup, which means the colour stays true for longer. The pearls are real freshwater pearls, and the little sparkles come from tiny, brilliant-cut cubic zirconia.

These are for when a plain pearl stud feels too simple. The design adds just enough detail with the two curved rows of CZs, but the earring itself is still very small and light. It's an interesting take on a classic that doesn't feel overwhelming on the ear.
