Yes, it's perfectly safe to wear your 14k gold ring in the shower. Water and standard soaps won't harm the gold. We do recommend rinsing it after, as some harsh soaps or shampoos with strong chemicals could dull the finish over time, and soap scum can build up.

A 5mm band should feel snug but comfortable. It needs to slide over your knuckle with a bit of resistance but shouldn't feel tight or constricting once it's on.
