The little barrel charm slides freely along the chain, so it always settles at the lowest point of the necklace. It has a nice, contained weight to it that you can feel, but it's light enough that you'll forget you're wearing it.

This piece is built around a small, cylindrical charm strung on a fine cable chain. The charm itself is made of three distinct, stacked bands. Two of the bands are smooth, polished gold, while the third is channel-set with a tight row of deep red, round-cut rubies. The gold has a high polish, so it catches the light as it moves.

The core of the charm and chain is solid 925 sterling silver. We plate it with a heavy layer of 14K gold, which is 58.3% pure gold, to get that deep, warm colour. On top of the gold, we add a transparent E-coating. This is an electrically bonded layer which means it creates a barrier that helps protect the plating from wear and prevents direct metal-on-skin contact. The stones are genuine rubies.
