The single white diamond at the centre gives the six black petals just enough light to stand out, even from a distance. It’s a play on contrast that makes you look twice at an otherwise classic flower shape.

A small flower, about 7 mm across, hangs from a delicate paperclip chain. The pendant is built from six round, black diamonds set as petals around a single, brilliant-cut white diamond. Each stone is held securely by tiny, polished prongs. The whole piece, including the 16-inch chain and simple bail, is made of a bright, silver-coloured metal.

We cast this pendant and set the stones in solid PT900 platinum. That's 90% pure platinum, which gives the piece a nice density and weight for its small size. Platinum's natural grey-white colour won't tarnish or change over time, so it will always look this bright. It's also incredibly durable, which means it provides a very secure setting for the seven diamonds. And because it's nickel-free, it's one of the best metals you can choose if you have sensitive skin.
