This ring gets its impact not from one large diamond, but from seven smaller ones, each wrapped in its own halo. It creates a continuous, scalloped line of brilliance across the top of your finger without the height of a typical solitaire.

Seven round brilliant diamonds are set in a row across the top of the ring. Each one is framed by a halo of tiny French pavé-set diamonds, making them look like a series of sparkling clusters. The settings are linked, creating a scalloped band of light. The polished shank narrows at the back for a more comfortable fit.

We make this ring in solid 14K or 18K gold. Most are 14K, which is 58.3% pure gold alloyed for everyday durability. We plate the white gold with rhodium, a bright white metal from the platinum family, to give it its mirror-like finish. The 85 diamonds are E/F colour and VVS clarity. This means they are almost perfectly colourless and have tiny inclusions that are very, very difficult to see, even under 10x magnification. The sparkle is clean and bright.

  • Materials: 14K or 18K Gold, Natural or Lab-Grown Diamonds
  • Diamond Details: 85 Round Brilliant cut, 1.44ct total weight
  • Diamond Quality: E/F average colour, VVS average clarity
  • Band Width: 2.2mm - 5.6mm
  • Band Thickness: 2.5mm
  • Finish: High polish with rhodium plating

This is for someone who wants more presence than a simple diamond band. The halo design gives you the finger coverage and sparkle of a much larger eternity ring, but with a unique, scalloped texture. It's a substantial band that sits low and feels solid on the hand.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the rhodium plating on my Vanhess white gold wedding ring wear off over time?

Yes, rhodium plating can wear down over time with regular use, which may reveal the natural, slightly warmer tone of the white gold alloy beneath. This is completely normal for all rhodium-plated jewellery. We can re-plate your ring to restore its bright white finish as part of our repair service.

Is it safe to clean my 1.45ct diamond halo ring at home?

Yes, you can safely clean your diamond halo ring at home. Use a soft-bristled toothbrush with warm water and a small amount of mild dish soap. Gently scrub around the diamonds and settings to dislodge any dirt or oils. Rinse it well and pat it dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.

How should a halo wedding band like this fit on my finger?

A wedding band like this should slide over your knuckle with slight resistance and sit securely at the base of your finger without spinning or feeling tight. Your finger size can fluctuate, so it shouldn't feel constricted when your hands are warm. We always recommend a professional sizing for accuracy.

What happens if I need to return my diamond wedding ring?

You can return your ring within 30 days of receipt, as long as it's in its original, unworn condition. Just send an email to returns@vanhess.ca to start the process. We will send you a prepaid shipping label and instructions for a full refund.

How long does shipping take for a Vanhess ring to the United States?

Shipping to the US is free on qualifying orders over $60 CAD and typically takes 5-15 business days to arrive after your ring has been made and dispatched. You will get a shipping confirmation with a tracking number as soon as it leaves our Coquitlam studio.
