Ring Resizing for Vancouver
Professional ring resizing in all metals, including soldered sets and tension settings, at our Coquitlam workshop — a short SkyTrain ride or drive from Vancouver. Free assessment, honest pricing.
Need a ring resized and based in Vancouver? Vanhess Jewellery resizes rings in all metals at our own bench — a short Millennium Line ride or 35–45 minute drive from downtown to our Coquitlam workshop. Gold, platinum, palladium, and silver, including soldered wedding sets, channel-set bands, and most eternity rings. We’re a Canadian Jewellers Association member with 150+ five-star Google reviews, and every resize is done in-house — not sent to an off-site trade shop the way many downtown stores handle it.
What we resize
- All metals — 10k, 14k, 18k, and 22k gold, platinum, palladium, and sterling silver.
- Soldered wedding sets — engagement ring and band joined together, resized as one.
- Channel-set & eternity rings — resized where the design allows; some are safer rebuilt than stretched, and we’ll tell you which.
- Sizing beads & spinner fixes — for rings that turn on the finger or knuckles wider than the finger base.
Pricing & turnaround
Resizing typically runs $45–$150 depending on the metal, the number of sizes, and band complexity — with a free written estimate and firm pricing before we start. Most resizes are finished in 3–7 business days, and many simple sizings are done the same week, so the trip from Vancouver is usually one drop-off and one pickup. Tension settings, stones near the shank, or large size changes get a structural assessment first. Every resize is backed by a 6-month workmanship warranty.
Worth the short trip from Vancouver
Downtown jewellers often charge city-centre prices and courier your ring out to a third-party workshop. We keep it in-house at our Coquitlam bench, which means honest pricing and a goldsmith you can actually talk to. We’re a two-minute walk from Coquitlam Central SkyTrain on the Millennium Line. While you’re here, we can also handle jewellery repair or prepare an appraisal.
Ring resizing questions
How much does it cost to resize a ring?
Usually $45–$150 depending on metal, size change, and band complexity. You get a free written estimate with firm pricing before we begin.
Can I get there on transit from Vancouver?
Yes — the Millennium Line runs to Coquitlam Central, a two-minute walk from our store. Driving is 35–45 minutes from downtown, with free parking.
Can you resize an eternity or channel-set ring?
Sometimes — stones set all the way around limit how far we can size without disturbing them. Bring it in and we’ll tell you honestly what’s possible, including sizing beads as an alternative.
